State Senator Adam Pugh of Edmond commends service of DHS and OSBI directors

Senator Adam Pugh, R-Edmond, released the following statement Thursday (August 4) regarding the resignation of state Department of Human Services Director Justin Brown and the retirement of Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Director Ricky Adams.

“These two public servants have dedicated their careers to helping protect the health, welfare and public safety of Oklahomans and have made a lasting impact on our state and citizens through their work at DHS and OSBI.

“Director Brown helped transform not only the culture within DHS for workers and how they provide critical services to our most vulnerable citizens but also improved those services, ensuring Oklahomans get the care, respect, treatment, and assistance they need.

“For 42 years, Director Adams has fought to uphold the laws of this great state while protecting our citizens. His dedication and courage, both in law enforcement and the Oklahoma National Guard, are to be commended.”

Sen. Pugh concluded his statement, sent to CapitolBeatOK.com and other news organizations, with these words:

“It’s been a pleasure getting to know these fine gentlemen both as constituents in my district and working on policy together at the Capitol. I wish them the best as they begin their next chapter and want to share my deep gratitude for their service to the State of Oklahoma.”
