Information for Lifeguards

Those interested in becoming a lifeguard are encouraged to bring their swimsuit and a towel to the hiring event and take a basic swim test as a part of their interview. Prior lifeguarding experience is not required.

Applicants will receive free training, and those who pass the tests will receive their certification.

Those who don’t pass the tests will be considered for other pool positions.

“We are excited to welcome new employees to our team as we gear up for the swimming season,” said Mason Williams, supervisor, at Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation. “Our lifeguards play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment at our aquatic facilities, and we are proud to offer competitive pay and hiring incentives to attract top talent.”
