Lucky Day: PAYRight program for past-due taxes ends Friday evening, November 13

OKLAHOMA CITY – Taxpayers have approximately two more days to participate in the Oklahoma Tax Commission’s PAYRight OK (PRO) program.
The program started on September 14 and already over $99 million has been collected in past-due taxes owed to Oklahoma.
The Connors Building, located at 2501 N Lincoln Blvd. in Oklahoma City, will be open until 6 p.m. Friday to accommodate taxpayers.
Taxpayers planning to make payments online may do so up until midnight Friday.
Many taxpayers have already taken advantage of PRO, which allows taxpayers to pay the back taxes they owe without penalties or interest.
“PAYRight OK is one of the many tools the governor and Legislature used to address the budget gap last session, and it is working even better than expected,” said Secretary of Finance, Administration and Information Technology Preston L. Doerflinger in a press release last month.
The program ends this Friday, November 13. Business and individual taxpayers participating in PRO can clear up the following tax types for reporting periods ending prior to January 1, 2015:
Income tax (individual and corporate)
Sales tax
Use tax
Withholding tax
Mixed beverage tax
Gasoline and diesel tax
Gross production and petroleum excise tax
Privilege tax (Bank in Lieu Tax)
“PAYRight OK has been very successful in helping taxpayers who were behind on taxes get caught up,” said Paula Ross, Director of Communications. “We want to remind those who may want to take advantage of the program that they only have until Friday to do so. Also, if they cannot pay in full, all they need is one-sixth of their full amount to put down on their balance and they can enter into a six-month payment plan.”
Taxpayers can pay their tax liabilities online at the Oklahoma Tax Commission’s Oklahoma Taxpayer Access Point (OkTAP) found at www.tax.ok.gov or by calling (866) 263-8612.
