‘I have decided to continue service in the Oklahoma Senate’

The opportunity to work on behalf of this great state and its people has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Over the past few months, there has been considerable speculation regarding my political future.

After much deliberation, thoughtful consideration of my family and constituents’ needs, and discussions with colleagues, I have decided to continue service in the Oklahoma Senate.

Additionally, I have considered the potential for business conflicts that could arise from a different role, and my commitment is to serve in public office with the highest standards of integrity and transparency.

I look forward to the opportunity to continue service in the Oklahoma Senate. This decision was not made lightly. It comes after hearing from many of you — my constituents — who have reached out, encouraging me to continue our work in the Senate. Your faith in my leadership and dedication to our shared goals has deeply moved me.

My colleagues in the Senate have also asked me to stay, emphasizing the importance of our ongoing projects and the need for experienced leadership to navigate the challenges ahead. It is clear that our work is far from over, and I am committed to advancing our agenda to improve the lives of all Oklahomans.
