Governor Mary Fallin today (Tuesday, April 12) announced she will reappoint Joe Hall to the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges (OSU/A&M) Board of Regents.
Hall resides in Elk City and is the owner of 4GH Ranch, a land and cattle operation, Joe D. Hall General Contractors, a construction firm, and is the chairman of InterBank.
Hall was first appointed in 2003 by Governor Brad Henry.
“Joe has proven himself to be an effective and dedicated regent,” Fallin said. “No one is more passionate about the quality of our universities and colleges than he is. I know he will continue to do a great job.”
Hall is a member of the American Institute of Constructors, the Oklahoma Cattlemen Association and the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. He is the past director of the Elk City Chamber of Commerce and past president and director of the Kiwanis Club.
Hall said, “I am delighted Governor Fallin has nominated me for a new term on the OSU/A&M Board of Regents. I share her commitment to improve education at all levels and believe our colleges will become even more vital to the state’s economic success. I have come to appreciate each of the five colleges and universities governed by this board and the key part they can play in supplying Oklahoma with a capable and competent workforce.
“As a person who grew up and built a business in rural Oklahoma, I have great respect for the land grant mission and for the contributions these colleges make to the quality of life in every part of our state.”
Hall and his wife, Vickie, graduated from OSU in 1983; his degree is in Civil Engineering. They have two daughters who attend OSU.
Hall’s appointment requires Senate confirmation and has an eight-year term length.
