Published: March 23rd, 2020
WHO: Association of Oklahoma General Contractors Executive Director Bobby Stem and others.
WHAT: Oklahoma’s road and bridge builders plans to announce a major hiring initiative today (Monday, March 23). Oklahoma’s road building remains robust despite downturns in other parts of the Oklahoma and national economy.
WHEN: TODAY (Monday, March 23) 4 p.m.
WHERE: Construction site near NE 53rd St. and N Santa Fe Avenue. CapitolBeatOK and other news organizations were given directions to the site and also advised: “For your convenience and safety, it will also be streamed live on AOGC’s Facebook [page]in the pinned post.”
WHY and HOW: Some good news might help. Come see and report on it; or view on the live stream if that’s best for you.
Media was encouraged to attend but reminded: “For your safety, we ask to practice social distancing and be aware that you will be walking across a working job site. Closed-toe shoes with a flat or broad heel are recommended. Won’t it feel good to be outside!”
