‘A tireless public servant ahead of her time’

To the Editor:
This past week we mourned the loss of former state Representative Odilia Dank.
A tireless public servant ahead of her time, she was a forerunner for our Oklahoma Republican revolution and for women elected officials of all stripes.
Rep. Dank was respected by Democrats and her Republican colleagues in the state house, alike. Her accomplishments demonstrate as much.
Both as Republicans and as Oklahomans, we are so appreciative of her decades-long service, as a state vice-chairman, to the OKGOP and in so many other capacities.
Her memory and service live on in her husband of 36 years, Representative David Dank, who carries forward her legacy.
Public servants like the Danks speak volumes about who we are as Oklahomans.
We offer our thanks and prayers for Rep. Dank’s family and friends. May the Lord grant them peace in this time of grief.

Dave Weston, Chairman, Oklahoma Republican Party
