Speaker Hickman to sort through 122 Interim Study proposals

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma House of Representatives reached its deadline for interim study submissions last week, and Speaker of the House Jeffrey Hickman is sorting through the stack of ideas for further examination.

As of midnight last Friday, a total of 122 study proposals were submitted for consideration.

“With the legislative session recently concluded, members of the House of Representatives are preparing for in-depth research and study of the issues we anticipate coming before the Legislature next year,” said Speaker of the House Jeff Hickman, R-Fairview.

“House members have shown that they are more than willing to tackle the serious issues our state faces. I look forward to seeing the information and legislation that will result from the work our committees will be doing in the months ahead.”

Proposed studies will be approved by July 10, and committees will meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from August to November
