In the News: Hannah Morris joins Americans for Prosperity as Oklahoma Field Director

Oklahoma City — Americans For Prosperity Oklahoma (AFP-OK) announced this week that Hannah Morris has been named Field Director serving central Oklahoma. Morris will lead local grassroots efforts to educate Oklahoma citizens on economic policy and mobilize those citizens as advocates in the public policy process.

“Hannah’s expertise in grassroot strategies will be a terrific asset to the AFP Oklahoma team,” said AFP-OK State Director John M. Tidwell. “She will help us foster relationships among activists and policymakers in the state. We are very fortunate to have her join our efforts.”

According to a release from AFP-OK, Morris will work on grassroots event training and by engaging volunteers in their local community. Originally from Newalla, Oklahoma, Morris spent eight years of her life in Venezuela and has firsthand experience working with communities from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

“My experience in Venezuela certainly ignites part of my passion for what I do now, which is carrying my story and ensuring that we protect individuals, their liberty and their freedom,” Morris said. “It is important to empower our citizens with knowledge about important current issues that might endanger economic and personal freedoms.”

Before joining AFP-OK, Morris served as a campaign manager for state Rep. Jason Nelson. R-Oklahoma City. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and International and Area Studies. She served as the OU Student Body President from 2011-2012 where she developed, implemented and oversaw 25 campus and municipal projects.
