Huff, Puff and Post: Pols perfectly parodied

In the midst of the silly season, on a lighter note: Nick Wing of the Huffington Post has prepared a super-short story that accompanies a clever assemblage of 25 “politicians who look like Disney characters.”

Among the victims of this good-humored roast is U.S. Rep. James Lankford of Oklahoma City, who is pictured alongside Peter Pan. Wing wrote: “Just as life sometimes imitates art, life forms sometimes imitate cartoon characters.”

Go see for yourself

The comparatively gentle jab at Lankford pales in comparison to spot-on parodies of U.S. Rep. George Miller as Mister Geppetto (from Pinocchio), former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as Jane (Tarzan), U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders as The Mad Hatter (Alice in Wonderland), U.S. Rep. Ron Paul as Claude Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame),  former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum as Woody (Toy Story), New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as Chef Auguste (Ratatouille) and Rep. Barney Frank as Mr. Smee (another from Peter Pan).

To Mr. Wing, here’s a tip of the hat – and Why the heck didn’t we think of that?
