Governor Henry names Reid, Evans to Workers’ Comp Court

Governor Brad Henry today (Friday, September 10) announced the appointment of two judges to the Oklahoma Workers Compensation Court.  

Judge David Reid of Tulsa will fill the Office 6 position previously held by Mary Black and Judge Owen Evans of Tulsa will fill the Office 7 position previously held by Tom Leonard.

Reid holds a bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.  He has worked in private law practice in Tulsa for almost 20 years in addition to serving as a mediator for the Oklahoma Workers Compensation Court and a legal clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Evans holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law.  He has practiced law in Tulsa for the last 25 years.    

“I have the highest confidence in Judge Reid and Judge Evans and appreciate their willingness to serve the state,” said Gov. Henry.
